The 2023 is the Ford Explorer ST-Line series that is visually the same as the ST performance package and is powered by a 300-horsepower 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine with Auto Start-Stop technology. The Explorer ST-Line comes standard with rear-wheel drive, and for off-road adventurers the Intelligent 4WD option is available as an extra.
Exterior features on the ST-Line include 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, blacked-out grille, fascia-integrated dual exhaust tips, gloss-black “EXPLORER” hood badging, and unique black-out treatment for headlamps and taillamps. The 20-inch aluminum wheels are a real comfort on curvy highways and bumpy roads around Houston and probably the biggest upgrade over the Base and XLT versions of the Explorer.
On the inside, the Explorer ST-Line has the feel of performance with Ebony Black ActiveX-trimmed seats with Miko inserts, heated first-row seats, heated sport-style steering wheel and red accent stitching throughout. 2nd row captain chairs come standard as well as heated front seats and music lovers will appreciate the Bang & Olufsen sound system with 12 speakers.
The 2023 Explorer ST-Line Rear Wheel Drive has a base MSRP of $46,005 before any options are added.
