The 2025 Ford Ranger Raptor is an off-road warrior with a 3.0L EcoBoost engine that boasts 405 horsepower with 430 lb.ft torque, Class-Exclusive 2.5″ FOX Racing Shocks with Live Valve Technology and 10.7 inches of ground clearance.
Ranger Raptor is the only model to feature a full dual exhaust for optimum performance. The exhaust includes active exhaust modes that can be set in MyMode for Active, Sport, Baja, and Quiet.
The Ranger Raptor also just won the 2024 Baja 1000 in the Mid-Size Class. The Baja 1000 is an annual Mexican off-road motorsport of particular distance race held on the Baja California Peninsula. Ford Trail Control
Similar to cruise control, Ford Trail Control is designed for low-speed, off-road use over uneven and rugged terrain, such as:
- Two track trail driving
- Lower speed sand driving
- Rock crawling
- Log rolling
- Water bed crossing
Automatically manages vehicle acceleration and braking when climbing or descending (for example, in an off-road environment), allowing the driver to focus on steering.
Operates in 2H, 4H and 4L transfer case settings with the transmission in Drive (D), Neutral (N) or Reverse (R).
Allows the driver to set a speed from 1 to 20 mph in 1 mph or .5 mph increments, depending on the transfer case setting.
Speed setting is displayed in the instrument cluster:
- Maximum speed in 2H or 4H is 20 mph
- Maximum speed in 4L is 9 mph
- Maximum speed in Reverse is 5 mph
- Minimum speed is 1 mph in any setting
- Speed can be adjusted in .5 mph increments in 4L; however, the vehicle speed indicated in the cluster will be displayed in even numbers
- System settings are temporarily overridden by applying the accelerator or brake pedal at any time
