Technology: Introduction Of Sync 4 With 12-inch Touch Screen
2022 Super Duty drivers will appreciate the available 12-inch touch screen, in landscape mode, plus cloud-connected Sync 4 featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as connected navigation while traveling the crowded Houston highways. Connecting your mobile device and using your favorite map app through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto allows your eyes to stay on what’s most important: the road ahead, maneuvering the high volume traffic and quick, crowded Houston exits.
Even better, the all-new 12-inch touch screen Sync 4 will be standard on Lariat models and above. Enjoy the same apps and features connecting to Sync 4 wirelessly or through cable and with a screen near eye level so you stay focused on what’s in front of you.
Appearance Package Updates
The Lariat Sport Appearance Package is new for the 2022 Super Duty and offers body-color bumpers, exterior mirrors and grille, as well as a chrome exhaust tip and black platform running boards.
For 2022 Super Duty XLT models, the Black Appearance Package will be available featuring:
- 20-inch Ebony Black painted premium wheels
- Body-color front and rear bumpers
- Grille bars
- six-inch Ebony Black running boards
- Front and rear Blue Ovals painted black
New colors coming for the 2020 Super Duty models include:
- Baja interior for Lariat
- Navy Pier and Light Slate interior for Limited
- Atlas Blue exterior color
The 2022 Ford Super Duty will come standard with a 6.2L V8 that produces 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, and a 430 horsepower 7.3L V8 and 6.7L Power Stroke diesel V8 with 475 horsepower and 1050 lb-ft of torque are both available. Either rear- or four-wheel drive is available, as is a six or 10 speed automatic transmission. Super Duty trucks can tow up to 24,200 pounds, but reach 37,000 pounds with a fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitch.
