The Transit family of vans is ready to meet customer needs with more configuration choices, more technology and more efficiency — all driven by customer feedback to make each Cargo Van and Passenger Van better tailored to their purpose.
Ford Transit cargo van models now offer two powertrain choices: a new 3.5L port fuel, direct-injected (PFDI) V6 engine and an enhanced 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine. Both engines are paired with a new 10-speed automatic transmission with Selectable Drive Modes and new-for-2020 all-wheel drive is available. A new heavy-duty front axle and Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package round out the components needed to get more done.

General Contractor:Â Customer uses the van as a mobile workshop and needs to stand in the van. There may also be the need to carry heavy loads and a desire for ample power and size. A High Roof, LWB or LWB EL Cargo Van with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine would be a good fit.
Package Delivery Service:Â Customer drives long distances and idles the engine frequently. Ample cargo space is a must. A nimble turning radius to get around town is a plus. A Medium Roof, LWB Cargo Van or High Roof LWB Cargo Van would suit this customer.

Transit Connect models are designed to work quickly and productively, which means the van can be configured to match the customers’ business needs. With a choice of trim levels, short or long wheelbase, and 50-50 swing-out rear doors or liftgate, customers can order the van that works for them. Dual sliding side doors are standard on all models and the Cargo Van’s large side panels allow businesses to proudly display their logo — Chastang Ford even offers graphics help for small businesses.
With a 2.0L GDI engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, Transit Connect is engineered to deliver acceleration when it’s needed (162 hp) but also provide efficiency with the help of Auto Start-Stop Technology. Transit Connect also offers capability with payload up to 1,570 lbs and, with the available Trailer Tow Package, up to 2,000 lbs max towing.
New features for the 2022 Ford Transit Connect models include Ford Ford Co-Pilot360 with the following features: Auto High-Beam Headlamps, BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System with Lane-Keeping Assist, Lane-Keeping Alert, and Driver Alert, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) (Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning and Dynamic Brake Support) and Rear View Camera.
